I loved the first book in this series so much, that I was a little concerned about continuing the series. I didn’t have to think long, I had to know what happened next. I broke my own rule about only reviewing books that are free to anyone, but I hedged just a little and borrowed this one from a friend. I’m so glad I did.
From page one, secrets and betrayals are revealed. I cried about some horrible things that happened to Grizz when he was just a young man. I was sad for so many of the characters, not just Kit and Grunt. I cried crocodile tears for Moe. There were stomach churning, jaw dropping reversals as I tried to decide who the best and worst people were, and why in the world did they do what they did!
Ultimately, I fell more in love with these characters, and even more in love with the nimble mind of the author who created them. Ms. Flynn is a wonderful story-teller. Her self-published work is just flawless. Wait. Let me tell the truth…I don’t have a clue if her books are flawless or not. I was so caught up in the story that any mistakes that might be there just…weren’t.
Do yourself a favor. Get your free copy of Nine Minutes. Then beg your friends, who I’m sure have already read this series, to lend you the next two books. Or, just give yourself a Christmas present and buy them. Whatever you do, and however you do it, grab copies of Beth Flynn’s great story and…
