Book Blurb:

New York Times bestselling author LISA KLEYPAS delivers the unforgettable tale of a strong-willed beauty who encounters her match in one of London’s most notorious—yet irresistible—rakes . . .

An eccentric wallflower . . .

Most debutantes dream of finding a husband. Lady Pandora Ravenel has different plans. The ambitious young beauty would much rather stay at home and plot out her new board game business than take part in the London Season. But one night at a glittering society ball, she’s ensnared in a scandal with a wickedly handsome stranger.

A cynical rake . . .

After years of evading marital traps with ease, Gabriel, Lord St. Vincent, has finally been caught by a rebellious girl who couldn’t be less suitable. In fact, she wants nothing to do with him. But Gabriel finds the high-spirited Pandora irresistible. He’ll do whatever it takes to possess her, even if their marriage of convenience turns out to be the devil’s own bargain.

A perilous plot . . .

After succumbing to Gabriel’s skilled and sensuous persuasion, Pandora agrees to become his bride. But soon she discovers that her entrepreneurial endeavors have accidentally involved her in a dangerous conspiracy—and only her husband can keep her safe. As Gabriel protects her from their unknown adversaries, they realize their devil’s bargain may just turn out to be a match made in heaven . . .

Review:

DEVIL IN SPRING is the 3rd book in the Ravenels series by Lisa Kleypas. You don’t have to read the first 2 books but it might make the story better for you if you do. The books are stand-alones but they are connected and you get to know Pandora and her family in the first 2 books. First, let me give you a little background info. Several years ago Lisa Kleypas wrote a series called The Wallflowers. The 3rd book in that series is called DEVIL IN WINTER. It’s about Sebastion, Lord St. Vincent (the wicked rogue) and Evie (the sweet, shy, but not weak, wallflower). Sebastian is one of my top favorite heroes EVER. If you haven’t read DEVIL IN WINTER, I highly recommend it but it’s not necessary to read before DEVIL IN SPRING. Now, Sebastian and Evie have a son named Gabriel and he is the hero in DEVIL IN SPRING. Gabriel and Pandora are so much fun. Pandora wants to be an independent business woman and wants no part of marriage. In fact, even after she’s caught (literally) in a compromising position with Gabriel, the most eligible bachelor that season, she refuses to marry. Gabriel isn’t real excited about marriage either but he’s determined to do the honorable thing so Pandora and her family can avoid the gossip and scandal. Then the more time he spends with Pandora the more he realizes that he HAS to marry her because he wants her. Now, he just has to get Pandora to agree. It’s a sweet and sexy story. There’s much to overcome. Gabriel doesn’t want Pandora to give up her dreams of being a businesswoman. He just has to find a way to work around all the ridiculous rules and laws that were in effect during that time. Pandora also has some health issues that get in the way of her everyday life. Gabriel is so very patient and understanding while helping her get through them. I very much enjoyed this book. Actually, I’ve enjoyed every Lisa Kleypas book I’ve ever read and that’s a lot of them. She never disappoints. I was so excited to ‘see’ Sebastian and Evie again and how their lives are now, quite a few years after they married. I love how she was able to connect the older Wallflowers series and the new Ravenels series and give us a beautiful story.
