Review:

I LOVED this book. Now that I have said that, I will try and review this amazing story.

Harper Connelly works in a coffee shop in South Beach, does not interact with many people, only her best friend Drea and the owner Jose. Drea pretty much bullied her way into her life and now Harper doesn’t know what she would do without her. Harper survived a life threatening brutal attack seven years ago. Though her body has recovered, her heart and soul and life have not. She wears clothes that make her invisible and the slightest touch, even accidentally, can send her into a panic attack.
She wants to take back her life and prove she’s strong and takes the unlikeliest route you would suspect.

Trent Andrews is the co-owner of Second Circle Tattoo. He was mentored and taught the art of tattooing by Jr. Silver who recently passed away. Now he and Cujo, Trent’s best friend from childhood are working their dream. Trent is a very good looking guy who enjoys women, beer and creating his masterpieces. He is well know for his amazing talent of tattooing over scars to cover them. At 1:00 AM on a very chilly morning as he’s locking up, a young woman appears. She is small, very timid, and ready to run at the slightest hint of trouble. He reluctantly lets her in the shop, and his life is changed forever. Harper explains her wish to cover her scars. When Trent takes a look at her scars he is torn between rage that someone could do this to another person, sympathy for all she had been through and an overwhelming feeling to protect her.

This is a novel that will grab you from the first few pages. It is sensual, with amazing characters, a bit of suspense, and one of the most beautiful love stories I have read this year. It is definitely on my list of best reads for 2015. I can’t wait for the second in this series.
